Training
Regardless of your level of experience and training, Boston-North Track Club provides the coaching and team atmosphere to help you achieve your goals. The club is focused in the sprints, jumps, and hurdles but has members that train and compete in longer distance events as well. The head coach, Jeff Rockwood, develops workout plans for club members and structures practice to create a fun and competitive atmosphere. Whether you're a high school athlete looking to become a competitive recruit, a post-collegiate athlete training to break old PRs, or a masters athlete competing at the world level, Boston-North Track Club can offer you a rewarding experience.
Two to three times per week, team training sessions are tailored to fit the needs of each event group and athlete. The workout plans are structured around the competitive season and goals of the team and each individual member. During the indoor season, BNTC practices at Harvard's banked indoor track on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays if there is no meet that weekend. During the outdoor season and in the warmer weather, the team trains at Harvard, Tufts, and Danehy Park's outdoor tracks. Most communication about practice occurs through email or directly with Coach Rockwood.
